We want to inform you about a temporary issue that caused some products to incorrectly show 999 in stock.
What happened?
When Shopify sent us product updates, the information we received was incomplete. Because of this, our system identified those products to be set to “continue selling when out of stock” and automatically updated the inventory to 999.
What we’ve done:
- We have disabled this automatic 999 update to prevent it from happening again. (this means for now, we will not sync products with continue selling enabled, or inventory tracking disabled to 999) untill the webhook issue gets resolved.
- We ran new product exports to correct the inventory for these products
- No further products will be affected.
Next steps:
- Our team is already working with Shopify to identify the root cause.
- Once Shopify provides a fix, we’ll safely re-enable the feature.
- please note that any normal products will get inventory updates as expected, just not for the “continue selling when out of stock” products, they will get the current stock synced, not 999.
If you notice any products with incorrect stock levels, you can manually adjust them in Shopify, or reach out to our support team and we’ll help right away.
Thanks for your patience and understanding while we resolve this.
